Jinhe Industry Co. Ltd. is a high-tech manufacturer that concentrates on developing high activity spherical nickel hydroxide for Ni-MH and Ni-Cd batteries. The company has specialized in producing nickel hydroxide since 1996. The product goes through three steps: normal spherical, high active, and high density spherical nickel hydroxide. Two million dollars (US) was invested at the end of 1999 and can we now produce 1000 tons per year of Zn added, Cd added nickel hydroxide. Another 1.5 million US dollars is being invested to improve the capacity to 1500 tons per year before the end of 2001. This will make the company one of the most specialized manufacturer's for battery materials in the world.
